How does fashion compare to Interiors? Could you be wearing what you have on your walls?

So good be be back doing a write up on Interior Trends for this Spring /Summer. I can’t actually believe how quickly this year is flying by.

I love researching everything to do with interior trends but I do actually also love fashion, although I need a major wardrobe overhaul myself.

When I was looking into what is trending with fashion at the moment, I thought I would see if it lined up with interiors. Low and behold they’re are pretty much the same this season. However not everyone changes they’re interiors with the seasons but if its your forever home and you love changing things p then why not spend your money a little vamp every now and then. It doesn’t have to cost the earth to paint and change over some soft furnishings etc. So check out the colours that are trending at the moment in both fashion and Interiors.

I could go on all day but you get the point? we not only wear the colours but they look fabulous in our homes too. Even if your just adding a splash here and there.

I would say when I design interiors for my own home I dip in and out of what is on trend. I tend to go with what I love the look of visually. The key to a successful personalised interior is not always what is on trend its about bringing what you love to look at and what you feel relaxed and comfortable being surrounded by.

I say it so many times that your home is your sanctuary where you can relax and even hide away whenever you feel the need.

I do love all the colours on trend especially the cobalt Blue and Fuchsia Pink I think putting these two together (carefully) would look amazing. I totally feel that the way interiors are going they will end up back like the eighties and that is totally one of my favourite decades, full of colour, my two favourite decades are 1950’s and 1980’s both full of colour.

What’s your favourite colour trend for spring and summer? and what is your favourite decade? do you show these in your interiors and fashion?

Do what you love and never hide your style and dont forget to comment on what your favourite colour trend is and your favourite decade for interiors and fashion?

Stay happy and confident,

Love Claire x
